Hannah Marie Fenster

Graduate Program

Hannah Fenster is an MA student and Graduate Assistant in the Department of Comparative Literature at the University of Georgia.

Her interests include contemporary Irish and West African literatures and diasporas, interdisciplinary studies of literature and performance (especially dance), the historiography of race, critical theories of internationalism, critical examinations of academia, the relationship between writing, politics, and social activism, and Spanish language and feminist Latin American literature.

She earned her BA in English literature from Goucher College, with a year at St. Anne’s College, Oxford. The independent research of her final year explored physical symbolism and ethic in the poetry of Seamus Heaney, and featured a translation of literary analysis into dance choreography.
