Ms. Minh Trang Thi Nguyen, the instructor of Vietnamese in the department, is this year's recipient of the Franklin College Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award. The award recognizes a faculty member who has made a life-changing impact on students through sustained commitment to high-quality instruction in undergraduate teaching. Her students have played a crucial role in nominating her for the award. Ms.Trang consistently works to keep her students engaged and excited about being in her class, as seen by her many positive student evaluations each semester. She helps her students learn the Vietnamese language and culture, also working tirelessly to engage the Vietnamese community at UGA with special events.
