Xinyang Li is a Ph.D. student in Comparative Literature and Intercultural Studies at the University of Georgia, and is also pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Women's and Gender Studies. She holds an M.A. in Chinese Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2024) and a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from Fujian Normal University (2021). Her research examines the transnational circulation of Chinese Nuo theatre and wu-xi ritual traditions across East Asia and contemporary media. Her broader interests include the politics of intangible cultural heritage, the ritual body, and disability and mediumship in East Asian traditions, and gender in digital-era spiritual practice.
