Yi Zhong is a PhD candidate in the Department of Comparative Literature and International Studies at the University of Georgia. She received her BA and MA in Chinese Language and Literature from Sichuan University in China. Her research focuses on the relationship between Buddhism and Chinese literature. Her dissertation examines the influence of Buddhist thought on classical Chinese narratives, with particular attention to dreams and dream narratives. She also studies Sanskrit and is interested in the connections between early Indian texts, such as the Rig Veda, and Buddhist literature.
